Starting pay range: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour.

OCCU offers $2 per hour in additional compensation for bilingual Spanish-speaking employees who pass a standardized language test.

Location: Lane County, OR - Onsite work environment

As a part-time relief teller, you are responsible for assisting members with financial transactions. You provide an enriching member experience by asking individualized questions and providing personalized service. You will educate members on products and services by understanding each product and effectively communicating the benefits of building strong, trusted relationships with members. Part-time tellers will work between 17 and 24 hours per week. Schedules will be made to meet business needs and may consist of working 4-5 days a week with short midday shifts to cover lunches and breaks as needed. This schedule will also include working every Saturday and may involve helping at other Lane County branches as needed within a 10–15 mile radius.

Key responsibilities include understanding member needs, personalizing product recommendations, processing financial transactions accurately, maintaining records, balancing cash drawers, handling account requests, contributing to branch goals, meeting service and sales targets, and clarifying member queries.

This role requires at least six months of related experience, cash handling skills, and staying up-to-update on products and procedures. Attending and completing training to improve job performance is also necessary.
