The annual starting salary for this role is $99,265, and it is eligible for variable compensation.
This position primarily operates in Pierce County, Washington, and applicants must be available to work and visit auto dealerships in this area regularly. While most duties are performed Monday through Friday, some weekend work may be required. The role is remote, with work conducted from a home office and at auto dealerships. Occasionally, individuals in this role may need to visit OCCU's headquarters.
An Indirect Lending Business Development Officer (BDO) engages with auto dealerships to market, promote, and secure dealership commitment to OCCU’s Indirect Lending Program services. The BDO achieves Indirect Lending objectives by seeking new dealership relationships, increasing dealer penetration, hosting partnership events, providing training and education, enforcing contractual non-compliance, and continuously improving dealer relationships. The BDO also contributes to OCCU's business objectives by offering consultative, expert advice and market analysis to management.
Qualifications for this role include a minimum of eight years of in-dealership leadership experience, with at least three years in an Indirect Lending role with a financial institution preferred. Advanced knowledge of dealership variable operations and the automotive industry related to lending is required. A valid driver's license and a clear driving record are essential.
