Loan Representative | Credit Union | Remote (OR, WA & ID)

We're seeking a relationship-focused Loan Representative to help members achieve their financial goals through consumer lending and deposit solutions. As one of the first points of contact for members seeking loans, new memberships, and account services, you'll serve as a trusted financial resource while delivering exceptional service in a fast-paced, high-volume remote lending environment.

This position is fully remote for candidates residing in Oregon, Washington, or Idaho and offers a competitive pay range of $21.00 - $25.50 per hour, depending on experience.

About the Role:

The Financial Loan Representative combines lending expertise, member service excellence, sales effectiveness, and relationship building to guide members through loan and account decisions. This role serves members through inbound and outbound communications, processes consumer loans and deposit accounts, and proactively identifies opportunities to strengthen members' financial well-being through consultative conversations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to members seeking lending, membership, and deposit solutions.
  • Process and fund consumer loans, open deposit accounts, and perform account maintenance.
  • Review applications, conduct credit investigations, prepare loan documentation, and communicate loan decisions.
  • Develop member relationships through inbound and outbound communications.
  • Identify cross-sell opportunities and recommend products and services that meet member needs.
  • Utilize technology and remote delivery systems to efficiently serve members and complete transactions.
  • Meet established performance goals, service levels, and quality expectations.

What We're Looking For:

  • Minimum two years of consumer lending, loan processing, banking, credit union, or related financial services experience.
  • Strong consumer lending knowledge and ability to explain financial products and services.
  • Excellent member service, sales, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to build trust and effectively uncover member needs through consultative conversations.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Comfort working in a high-volume call center environment with both inbound and outbound communications.
  • Strong technical aptitude and ability to quickly learn lending systems and remote delivery tools.
  • Ability to work successfully from a dedicated home office with reliable high-speed internet and minimal distractions.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Credit union or banking experience.
  • Experience processing consumer loans from application through funding.
  • Experience reviewing credit reports and loan documentation.
  • Proven success meeting sales, service, and production goals.
  • Experience with Docusign and electronic loan processing systems.
  • Experience working in a lending call center or remote lending environment.

Education:

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
