Equally important, you will serve as a trusted advisor to our members. Success requires someone who can ask thoughtful questions, understand individual financial needs, explain lending options clearly, and recommend appropriate products and solutions while creating a positive member experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Guide members through home equity loan and line-of-credit applications, from initial application through closing.

  • Communicate loan decisions and follow up with members throughout the lending process.
  • Maintain an accurate loan pipeline and proactively keep loans progressing within established timelines.
  • Maintain thorough documentation and notes within loan origination and CRM systems.
  • Coordinate documentation, disclosure timing, closing/funding dates, and signing activities with members and internal partners.
  • Maintain a high degree of accuracy, confidentiality, organization, and attention to detail.
  • Meet established performance and service expectations and proactively communicate potential delays or barriers.
  • Follow applicable lending, BSA, NMLS, and other regulatory requirements.

What We’re Looking For:

  • At least one year of similar or related experience working with mortgages.
  • Strong member/customer service skills with the ability to build trust and serve as a consultative advisor.
  • Ability to review financial and loan information carefully and accurately.
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation practices.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organization, time management, and pipeline-management skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple loans, member needs, and deadlines in a changing environment.
  • Sound judgment and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with internal partners.
  • Comfort working toward established performance and service expectations.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality when working with sensitive financial information.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience using Encompass or another loan origination system.
  • Previous mortgage, home equity, consumer lending, banking, or credit union experience.
  • Experience managing a lending or sales/service pipeline.

This position must maintain applicable NMLS SAFE Act licensing and renewal requirements and must remain eligible to perform origination functions on loans sold to external partners.
